Emily Sprang LPC-MHSP
Music was Emily’s first language for understanding emotion—and ultimately, it became the starting point for her journey into therapy. As a child, she found comfort in playing the piano and singing. Before becoming a therapist, music was her way of processing and making sense of the world. That passion led her to earn a degree in Vocal Music from Belmont University, but over time, she felt drawn toward something deeper. She wanted to not only express emotion through music, but also help others understand, process, and heal their own emotions.
That path led her to pursue a master’s degree in Mental Health Clinical Counseling, where she learned how to pair emotional expression with practical, structured tools for healing. Today, she brings both of these worlds together in her work with clients, creating space for exploration, connection, and growth.
Outside of her practice, she loves traveling and exploring new natural settings. There’s something about being in nature that feels especially restorative. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, being with her dog, Roxi, and taking her e-bike around town to discover new local spots. These simple moments of connection, movement, and exploration are some of her favorite ways to unwind and recharge.
Meet Roxi
Emily’s best gal pal, Roxi, is never far from her side. A beloved part of her everyday life, Roxi can often be found alongside Emily at the office, where she joins her for sessions and brings her own special kind of warmth and companionship to the space.
